Krokus zündeten am Samstagabend, 22. August 2026, auf der Main Stage des Riverside Open Air Aarburg ein Hard-Rock-Feuerwerk der Extraklasse. Bereits in der Umbauphase vorher, füllte sich das Infield merklich.

Im Gegensatz zum Freitag spielte das Wetter am Samstagabend komplett trocken mit und unter der historichen Kulisse der Aarburger Festung gab es kräftig was auf die Ohren. Pünktlich nach dem Eindunkeln erloschen die Lichter auch auf dem Festivalgelände, und das markante Krokus Logo flammte auf den gigantischen LED-Wänden auf.

Ohne grosses Drumherum ging es dann auch direkt ans Eingemachte !

Vom ersten Riff an machten die drei Gitarristen Fernando von Arb, Mandy Meyer und Mark Kohler unmissverständlich klar, in welche Richtung der Abend gehen würde: geradliniger, schnörkelloser, geiler Hard Rock.

Wir haben Krokus tatsächlich zum ersten mal live gesehen, auch wenn man das ein oder andere Album seit Jahrzenten besitzt.

Unsere Hochachtung gilt vor allem Marc Storace, der mit seinem doch – derweil nicht mehr ganz jugendlichem Alter – die Songs einfach herunter rockt wie vor Jahrzenten schon. Absolut geniale Leistung, geile Stimme und eine mega nette Ausstrahlung

Rockig und ohne Pause wurden Hymnen wie : „American Woman“, „Bedside Radio“, „Tokyo Nights“ und viele weitere – ja, regelrecht abgefeuert.

Mit dem Song „Hellraiser“ gab es dann auch gleich noch eine Widmung an die Legende Ozzy Osbourne.

Fazit :

Geile Location, feines Wetter und ein Schweizer Kultband vor dem Herrn. Richtig geile Show und auch für uns sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Vielen Dank, dass ich dabei sein durfte – es war mir eine Ehre !

On Saturday evening, August 22, 2026, Krokus set off a top-notch hard rock extravaganza on the Main Stage at the Riverside Open Air Aarburg. Even during the stage setup beforehand, the infield was noticeably filling up.

Unlike Friday, the weather on Saturday evening was completely dry, and against the historic backdrop of the Aarburg Fortress, the crowd was treated to a real treat for the ears. Right on time as darkness fell, the lights on the festival grounds went out, and the distinctive Krokus logo lit up the gigantic LED screens.

Without much fanfare, they got right down to business!

From the very first riff, the three guitarists—Fernando von Arb, Mandy Meyer, and Mark Kohler—made it unmistakably clear what the evening would be all about: straightforward, no-nonsense, awesome hard rock.

This was actually the first time we’d seen Krokus live, even though we’ve owned one or two of their albums for decades.

Our utmost respect goes above all to Marc Storace, who—despite no longer being in the prime of his youth—simply rocks out the songs just like he did decades ago. An absolutely brilliant performance, an amazing voice, and a super-friendly presence

Rock-driven and non-stop, anthems like “American Woman,” “Bedside Radio,” “Tokyo Nights,” and many more – yes, they were literally blasted out.

With the song “Hellraiser,” they also paid tribute to the legend Ozzy Osbourne.

Conclusion:

Awesome venue, great weather, and a true Swiss cult band. A really awesome show and definitely not the last time we’ll see them. Thank you so much for letting me be there – it was an honor!
