Review des „Leningrad Cowboys“ Auftrittes am Time to Rock Festival 2026

Wir machen eine Zeitreise zurück ins Jahr 1989. Ein Film erscheint auf den Leinwänden dieser Welt: Leningrad Cowboys go america“
Was als Komödie erschien, drehte sich um eine Rockband aus Sibierien, die tatsächlich in ihrer Heimat keinen Erfolg hatte und deswegen nach Amerika ging.
Aus der Bandzusammensetzung wurde tatsächlich dann eine Liveband, welche bis etwa 2013 durch die Welt tourte, bevor es aus unterschiedlichen Gründen zu einem vorzeitigen Aus kam.
Ende 2025 formte man sich dann wieder zusammen um auf Tour zu gehen. Eines der ersten Festivals war dann im Juli das Time to Rock Festival in Knislinge / Schweden.
Am 05.07.2026 war es soweit und die Cowboys betraten – mit ihrer 13 köpfigen Band die Rock Kommander Stage im beschaulichen Knislinge.

3 Songs im Graben und die Bühne voller Menschen, das kann ja heiter werden dachte ich – doch es kam anders.
Die als parodierende Coverband bekannten Leningrad Cowboys begannen gleich mit einem Mix aus Rock, Punk und Folk – mit einer netten Begleitung von diversen Blasinstrumenten.
Songs wie „Gimme all your lovin“ von ZZ-Top wurden auf musikalisch hohem Niveau – aber durchweg mit Spassfaktor zum Besten gegeben.
Highlight war dann wohl – wie zu erwarten „Kalinka“ und das Publikum feierte kräftig mit.

Fazit:
Meine anfängliche Skepsis im Graben löste sich schnell auf und änderte in eine regelrechte Spass – Session. Geile Show, wenn auch etwas stressig zum fotografieren.
Die Cowboys sollte man mal gesehen haben ^^

Concert Review – Leningrad Cowboys Official – Time To Rock Festival 2026
Let’s take a trip back in time to the year 1989. A movie hits theaters around the world: “Leningrad Cowboys Go America.”
What appeared to be a comedy centered on a rock band from Siberia that had actually failed to find success in its home country and therefore headed to America.
The cast of the film actually went on to form a live band that toured the world until around 2013, before calling it quits prematurely for various reasons.
At the end of 2025, they reunited to go on tour. One of their first festivals was the Time to Rock Festival in Knislinge, Sweden, in July.
On July 5, 2026, the moment had arrived, and the Cowboys – with their 13 – piece band – took the Rock Kommander Stage in the tranquil town of Knislinge.
Three songs into the set and the stage was already packed with people; “This is going to be a blast,” I thought – but things turned out differently.
The Leningrad Cowboys, known as a parodic cover band, kicked things off right away with a mix of rock, punk, and folk – accompanied by a nice selection of various wind instruments.
Songs like “Gimme All Your Lovin’” by ZZ Top were performed at a high musical level – but always with a fun twist.
The highlight was, as expected, “Kalinka,” and the audience celebrated along with them in full force.

Conclusion:
My initial skepticism in the pit quickly melted away and turned into a downright fun session. Awesome show, even if it was a bit stressful for taking photos.

You’ve got to see these Cowboys at least once ^^
